This year’s annual Wine Fest was held in Grinnell Plaza on Saturday, Sept. 9th, and was organized by the Downtown Sheridan Association. The evening started with a champagne reception where customers would get the chance to pick the brains of all the vendors that were attending and share some charcuterie and champagne with each other. The reception was hosted and catered by Verdello and was held on their back patio.

The Wine Fest consisted of multiple vendors that would explain their products and present them to the participants. Most of the selection were wines but spirits and beer were available as well. One of the board members of the DSA, Lindsey Vredenburg, explained the variety of wine that was presented at Wine Fest.

The Wineries included in the Wine Fest were Capitello Wines, Jackson Hole Winery & Gallery on Main, Epoch Wines, Prarie Berry Winery, The Bomb Sommelier, Purveyors of Wine, Verdello Olive Oils & Fine Foods, and Wyoming Wine & Spirits Trader.

Breweries and Distilleries that participated were Big Horn Spirits, Bison Beverage, Luminous, Pine Bluffs Distilling, RNDC, and Sheridan Beer.

A raffle took place during Wine Fest which allowed patrons to bid on different items and gifts that were made possible by a variety of different donors. Vredenburg was eager to share the DSA’s purpose of setting up an event such as Wine Fest.

Wine Fest is one of many events the DSA encourages and organizes as they allow citizens of Sheridan to come together and appreciate a common interest in the heart of downtown. The DSA is hopeful to bring more wonderful occassions to Sheridan. For more information on the DSA and their plan to preserve historic downtown Sheridan you can visit their website here.
