The Chamber will host the Sheridan area’s largest brewfest and their largest fundraiser for the year when the Fremont Toyota Suds n’ Spurs Brewfest begins at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at Whitney Commons Park.
More than 1,000 people are expected to be in attendance to sample professional craft brews from across the Mountain West, enjoy food vendors and listen to live music.
The Suds n’ Spurs Brewfest helps support the Chamber’s numerous programs and efforts for the Sheridan area’s business community as well as the area economy by hosting brewers from all the Mountain West.
This year marks 11 years of the Fremont Toyota Suds n’ Spurs Brewfest. Chamber Chief Executive Officer Dixie Johnson talked about the development of the idea over a decade ago on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse.
According to Johnson 29 brewers have confirmed that they will be there offering their libations for attendees.
Ticket holders will be asked to vote for their favorite brewery, as the People’s Choice Award of the event. A professionally judged competition, will also take place with the winner also receiving a Tom Balding Spur.
Chamber Member Relations Director Bobbi Mitzel told listeners about the return of live music to the brewfest and the inclusion of a beer relay.
As of publication, two spots remained open for beer relay teams for this year’s brewfest.
Beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, the Suds and Spurs Brewfest will be celebrating all things beer and ale at the Whitney Commons Park.

Main St., Black Tooth Brewing Company this Thursday and Friday evening by finding Chamber Ambassadors from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. selling tickets for both the Brewfest and the raffle or purchase at the event. Proper ID will be required.
