WYDOT has road construction project plans set for the next 6 years, but the department says it is open to the possibility that something got overlooked.
The Department has had various public meetings all over the state regarding its 6-year State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) which runs from 2024 until 2030.
Such plans include the current Main Street work in downtown Sheridan, as well as next year’s Main Street project in Buffalo, plus a $40-million reconstruction job scheduled for 2025 on I-90 from the Montana border to Ranchester.
Laura Dalles of WYDOT says for those who weren’t able to attend those meetings the various proposed projects are now available on-line, where viewers can get information and leave comments.
“If the public is interested in what jobs are going to be looked at and addressed in the next 6 years or have any interest on perhaps there’s a road section that they travel often and they feel that needs addressed then they can look on the STIP and see if it’s in the next 6 years proposed projects. If not, then they can make comments and say this highway, this route, these areas between these road miles, we feel needs to be addressed.”
