The National Weather Service in Billings has issued a flood watch for Sheridan County from 6 pm Wednesday through 6 am Saturday. Two to three inches of rainfall is possible during this time and rivers, creeks, and streams are anticipated to rise aggressively and cause flooding. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

The City of Sheridan announced Tuesday that City crews are placing pallets with sandbags in key (flood prone) areas along Big Goose Creek throughout Sheridan. The Street Maintenance Division will be monitoring these locations to restock as they are able. The City asks that people take only what they need so everyone can benefit during this time. All locations should have pallets by the end of the day today. A map of the various locations is available here. For additional information, people can call 307-674-4112.
