cvannoyThe Annual Spring Shop Hop was held on May 5 and 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days throughout the town of Clearmont.
Merilee Albers, Vintiques of Wyoming and Richard Rhoades’ Red Pony Salsa, talked about the shop hop this year.
Albers shop sells Vintage and antique furniture and smalls, lawn and yard art, and other household items.
Vendors included SageRidge Mill and Critters; Vintiques of Wyoming; Reisland Rustics and Hallies Gals; the Clearmont Historical Group; Weeping Willow Designs and many others.
The Clearmont Historical Group was also promoting their newest book in the Backward Glance Series, Passaic, The Forgotten Community in Sheridan County. The book was edited and published by the Clearmont Historical Group and writer Leland Sanders, and there will book signings during the summer, one to be at Clearmont Day on June 24. It is available for pre-order from the Clearmont Historic Group.
Marcus Schneck and his brother, Alex, who each had a booth with bracelets and books, talked about why they liked the shop hop.
A lunch was served by the Clearmont Community Church, from 11-2.
Cody Ramsay, Pastor of the Clearmont Church added this about the lunch, which they have been serving for around five years.
This year it was a taco bar, with chicken chili and Spanish Rice, as well as a wide variety of desserts provided by church members.
Amy Rowe, Clear Creek Recreation District, said that Friday was rather slow, but on Saturday there were good crowds attending the event.
