Aaron PalmerThe State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB) has approved an application from the City of Buffalo for grant funding to purchase and install a remote water-meter system throughout the city.
Buffalo submitted an application to the SLIB for a grant through Local Government Project ARPA Grant Program funding for the purpose of the replacement of the remote read water meters and reading system.
According to City Works Director Les Hook, the city applied for $981,000 and was awarded $900,000 for the project.
The total estimated cost for the project is just over $1.2 million.
