The Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum will soon feature a retrospective of renowned and local artist D. Michael Thomas.
Bronze art created by Thomas can be seen on the streets of Sheridan and Buffalo. Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum Executive Director Sylvia Bruner spoke on the collection of priceless art and the man behind the bronze.
Due to the scope and weight of the collection, the museum has built displays and stands. According to Bruner, Museum Assistant Kelsey McDonnell – also a professional artist – has painted the displays and room.
The collection includes approximately 30 pieces and will be on exhibit in the museum for two years. The grand opening of the D. Michael Thomas, A Retrospective Exhibition will take place on May 12.
