Barrasso: Biden Has Prioritized Greening the Grid Over the Reliability of Energy

Thursday, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources (ENR), delivered opening remarks at a full committee hearing to examine cybersecurity vulnerabilities to the United States’ energy infrastructure. Barrasso said the reliability and resilience of the electric grid of our nation’s pipeline network and our nation’s pipeline network are critical to our national security.
Barrasso said as China and Russia have grown more aggressive on the World stage, so to have their tactics in cyberspace.
The hearing featured testimony from Puesh M. Kumar, Director of the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response Preparedness; Mr. Robert M. Lee, CEO and Co-Founder of Dragos, Inc.; and Mr. Stephen L. Swick, Chief Security Officer of American Electric Power.

The Tic-Toc hearing on capitol hill yesterday demonstrated a somewhat rare example of bipartisanship. Tic-Toc is just a symptom of a more pressing national security problem concerning China. A recent New York Times article titled “From Rockets to Ball Bearings, Pentagon Struggles to Feed War Machine” described how the USA lacks the necessary capacity to produce the rockets, various weapons systems including ball bearings it would need in event of a major direct conflict with a major superpower like China or Russia

And righties have prioritized burning more filthy coal in the name of the almighty dollar.Humans better wake up to the fact that greed and profits will do them no good when they are pushing up daisys. Contrary to popular belief among righties…the climate change is not going away.

The climate has always changed and will always change. The biggest factor, by far, in our changing climate is the sun, not humans burning a fire to keep warm. Wyoming is the nations #1 clean coal producer and we should continue to supply the world with vital energy.
