Aaron PalmerBig Brothers, Big Sisters of Wyoming, Sheridan Branch is celebrating National Mentoring Month, and they discussed the program and its many positive contributions to both kids and adults that are part of it.
While a guest on our talk show Public Pulse Tuesday, Cameron Reckard, who is what is called a “high school big,” talked about what he and his grade school-aged “little” do during their weekly time together.
Reckard explained why he chose to volunteer.
For those that may want to donate funds, volunteer, or children that may want to sign up for the program, they can contact Jamie Brester, Community Engagement Coordinator; Cheryl Barker, Site-Based Case Manager; or Jamie Hoeft, Community Case Manager with Big Brothers, Big Sisters in Sheridan.
They are also seeking business partnerships with local employers to contribute employees for the mentoring program.
