Operation Blue Santa a Successful Community Effort

Buffalo Police Chief Sean Bissett gave an update to the Buffalo City Council on his department’s Operation Blue Santa program for 2022 saying it was a collaborative effort by the police department and the community to make it a success again this year.

Operation Blue Santais a program developed and administered by the Buffalo Police Department that helps local families that are struggling during the holidays to have a little brighter season.

The department is given names of families that could use some extra help and work with them to provide where they can.

The program provides gifts for children, groceries, gift cards, pays school lunch debts, helps with transportation for seniors through the BATS bus, and provides meal vouchers for them at the senior center.
