One State Senator and one State Representative from Sheridan County will keep their seats in the Wyoming Legislature, while the Northern Wyoming Community College District will have 3 new members starting next year.
In Senate District 21, Republican incumbent Bo Biteman defeated Democratic challenger Mark Hansen by more than 3,700 votes.
In House District 29, Republican incumbent Ken Pendergraft defeated Democratic challenger Martha Wright by a little less than 1,000 votes.
All other candidates in State Senate and State House races that were on the ballot for Sheridan and Johnson Counties ran unopposed.
Meanwhile, 2 members of the Northern Wyoming Community College District Board of Trustees chose not to run for re-election, and one was unseated at the polls.
Current board members Shelley Kinnison and Norleen Healy’s names were not on the ballot, while Robert Leibrich did not finish in the top 3, missing out by about 100 votes.
Barring a recount, Chuck Holloway, Ward Cotton and Elaine Henry will take their places on the Board of Trustees, beginning in January.
Elsewhere in Sheridan County, all 3 members of the County Conservation District that were up for re-election will retain their seats, because they ran unopposed.
