Johnson County Commission Amends Budget

Johnson County’s Commissioners passed a resolution that increased the 2019-2020 budget to show grant funding for two separate funds within the budget.
Commission Chair Bill Novotny said the first increase is from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, an OJJDP Grant in the amount of $4,121 and from the Wyoming Department of Aeronautics Division a slope failure study grant in the amount of $28,000.
Commissioner Bob Perry, liaison to the County Airport Board, explained the study further.
Commissioner Perry said the project to repair the runway will be a fairly large one, with the cost projected at about $1.2 million, with the county’s portion expected to be about $60,000.
