Barrasso: Long-Duration Energy Storage is Critical for Maintaining Electric Reliability

U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, recently delivered remarks at a full committee hearing to examine opportunities and challenges in deploying innovative battery and non-battery technologies for energy storage.
Barrasso also highlighted the next generation nuclear power plant by TerraPower that will be built in Kemmerer.
The hearing featured testimony from Managing Director for Renewable Energy Development at PacifiCorp Tim Hemstreet, Managing Director for Research and New Initiatives at ClearPath Spencer Nelson and Form Energy Chief Operating Officer Ted Wiley.

John showing his true biden republican colors by kicking reliable energy sources to the curb in favor of unreliable renewables. Its cheaper to mine lithium than to recycle it, and lithium is called a rare earth element for a reason. Thanks for selling us out again, john!
