Leadership Sheridan County, a program designed to inspire citizens to assume leadership roles in the Sheridan community, will open applications on Oct. 1.
According to the Sheridan Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Sheridan County is one of more than 1,000 Chamber leadership development programs throughout the United States. The program is designed to challenge and prepare individuals from diverse backgrounds to become influential in determining the future of Sheridan County.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Dixie Johnson told listeners what the program is geared toward developing in today’s and tomorrow’s leaders in Sheridan.
The program, like many aspects of leadership, requires commitment. According to the Chamber, the program consists of a retreat, seven full-day modules, and an overnight trip to Cheyenne spanning the nine-month time period. Program participants must attend the retreat and a minimum of seven out of eight regular modules to be recognized as a Leadership Sheridan County graduate.
