Aaron PalmerStaff at the Johnson County Healthcare Center, in their reports to the hospital board, said it had been a busy summer but things were slowing down now that summer activities were winding down.
Hospital Director of Nursing Mary Litzel reported on the hospital for absent Chief of Staff Dr. Ryan Ludwig.
She said August had been busy in the hospital but the ER had slowed somewhat but overall everything was going well.
She also reported that Dr. Tom Richards, who will be in the ER, will be starting this Friday.
In her nurses’ report, she said they are gearing up for the pending construction projects, moving personnel into new areas so others can be worked on.
Director of Nursing in the Amie Holt Care Center Brenda Gorm said the census as of the meeting was 31 residents and were working on another.
CEO Luke Senden added that there have been a quite a few new admissions in the care center but also some deaths which has kept the census flat.
