Senator Barrasso Provides Details on Three of His Bills During Legislative Hearing

U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) delivered remarks at a legislative hearing Thursday  to examine and receive testimony on a number of energy related bills. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Three of the bills discussed at the legislative hearing are bills sponsored by Senator Barrasso, ranking member of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. Barrasso provided details on each piece of legislation during the hearing. The first bill the senator discussed would ban the imports of Russian uranium.

The second bill Barrasso addressed would promote the domestic production of high assay low enriched uranium.

The last piece of legislation Barrasso highlighted is a bill to promote the production and use of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel.

Barrasso said Wyoming is a leading producer in renewable diesel, which is a low carbon fuel made from renewable resources that is chemically identical to regular diesel fuel.

  1. barrasso…why did you and lummis vote no on the PACT bill?????? It is past time for term limits for ALL politicians…any party.

    • The PACT Act as written includes a budget gimmick that would allow $400 billion of current law spending to be moved from the discretionary to the mandatory spending category. This provision is completely unnecessary to achieve the PACT Act’s stated goal of expanding health care and other benefits for veterans. However, it would enable an additional $400 billion in future discretionary spending completely unrelated to veterans. By failing to remove this gimmick, Congress would effectively be using an important veterans care bill to hide a massive, unrelated spending binge. SEN PAT TOOMEY

      • Repubs do not plenty of finagling money too BTW. Tax cuts for the rich and corporations to name a couple…when the rich and profit takers are most able to pay their share of the burden.Since you hate anything not related to your crooked ex potus…find something else to moan about for a change.
