A Campbell County man is recovering in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, after being shot by Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputies.

According to the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, sometime after 8:30am on Tuesday (June 28th), deputies responded to a residence north of the Gillette city limits, for a report of a family fight.

Three deputies made contact with 24-year old Andrew Crenshaw outside the residence, and during that time, Crenshaw armed himself with a shotgun.

Deputies ordered him to put the gun down, and ended up shooting Crenshaw, when he pointed the gun at them.

The Deputies have been placed on administrative leave while the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation conducts its own investigation.

Video from body-worn cameras will become available when the DCI approves it.
