School’s out, summer is just about here and that meant it was time to get out and socialize at the first Third Thursday event of 2022 in downtown Sheridan Thursday afternoon and evening (June 16th).
Visitors to downtown Main Street met up with various vendors that were either selling items such as food and merchandise, promoting a political campaign, educating the public on certain issues or to listen to an area band entertain the crowd. to name a few.
Don Boone of Sheridan says no matter if you live near or far from the Sheridan area, if someone hasn’t been to a Third Thursday event, they need to attend one.
“They need to get down here and experience one of the best western towns in the States. Small town and this is the epitome of it.”
Nicole Jarvis of Sheridan says a Third Thursday event has a good amount to offer both newcomers and returning visitors.
“I guess they would see all of Sheridan out at the same time and get to see all the different vendors that they have to offer here and they’d get to enjoy some music, eat some street vendor food and enjoy our community.”
Last year, the July Third Thursday event had to be moved up one week, because it conflicted with Sheridan WYO Rodeo week, but with the way July calendar is this year, that’s not the case.
Next month’s Third Thursday is scheduled for July 21st.
