Johnson County Accepts Community Prevention Grant

The Johnson County Commission has approved and accepted the 2022-2024 Community Prevention Grant from the Wyoming Department of Health.

County Prevention Specialist Bill Hawley spoke to the commission about the two-year grant during their recent meeting.

Hawley said there have been positive changes to how the funding can be used, including using it for existing programs based on effectiveness such as the mentoring program and the COMPASS Center’s strengthening families program, among others.

The commission accepted the funding on behalf of the county’s prevention program.
