Aaron PalmerThe Johnson County School Board, during their meeting Monday night, announced the district’s Teacher of the Year, which according to Dr. Steve Miller who made the announcement, was a surprise to Buffalo High School Biology Teacher Christine Houseman.
BHS Principal Gib Ostheimer praised Houseman as well.
According to Ostheimer, she is responsible for bringing AP Biology to BHS, sponsors the S.A.V.E. (Students Against Violating the Earth) Club, sponsors the Teton Science Expedition, and every other year takes students on trips to foreign countries.
Ostheimer said she is a teacher that is truly respected by her students.
