Devils Tower National Monument No Longer Accepting Cash Entry Fees

Visitors to Devils Tower National Monument still have to pay an entry fee to get in, but they can no longer pull cash out of their purse or wallet to cover the costs.
Last month Devils Tower switched to accepting card and digital payments only for all visitors to the monument.
A monument spokesperson says reducing cash collected in fee operations allows the monument area to be a better steward of visitor dollars.
It reduces the amount of time park staff spends managing cash, increases the amount of fee revenue available to support critical projects and visitor services, and improves accountability and reduces opportunities for improprieties.
It also allows rangers to spend more time with visitors.
Admission passes can be purchased on-line which they can store in a mobile device or print out.
