Sheridan County, Sheridan County School District #3 and the National Weather Service in Billings will be hosting a Storm Spotter Class from 6 to 8 pm on May 18. The class will take place in the multi-purpose room of the Clearmont School at 1600 Meade Avenue in Clearmont. The class will be presented by a meteorologist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. There is no age limit to attend and the class is free of charge.

Attendees will learn about thunderstorm spotting basics; identifying potential; severe weather; storm structure; hail and wind damage; flooding, tornadoes, and how to report severe weather. While the class is free, organizers would like those interested in attending to sign up prior to May 18 so that they can get an accurate count of how many people will be participating in the class.
