Ron RichterA presentation to facilitate discussion on policy decisions guiding utility rate studies for the City of Sheridan was held at Monday night’s Council study session. Consultant Vita Quinn from SCS Engineering led the presentation that focused on the City’s utilities department and policy development for utility rates.
Quinn talked about goals she came up with from looking at the City’s financial plan so that they can target the policies accordingly.
Quinn also discussed three different types of reserves that the City may want to consider in the future for the enterprise funds within the utility department. She added that the City’s sewer, water and solid waste funds are fairly financially healthy right now.
