According to a Montana Dakota Utility Company Facebook post, a pole will need to be replaced on the transmission line serving the Big Horn substation.
According to MDU, this replacement will take approximately 6-7 hours. Crews are looking at temporary alternatives to get power to customers in Big Horn while the pole is replaced. All other customers affected by this outage should have power restored at this time.
An issue with the SW Sheridan substation is causing customers in Story, Big Horn, Banner, and the southern areas of Sheridan to be without power. MDU crews are on scene and assessing the situation and will make repairs as quickly and safely as possible. Residents can monitor the progress of the restoration on our outage page here: https://customer.montana-dakota.com/outage-map.
