Sheridan County Ratifies Amendment for 3 Poles Rec Area
Sheridan County and the Public Land Users Committee (PLUC) have ratified an amendment to their agreement for oversight and maintenance by the PLUC of the 3 Poles Recreation Area north of Sheridan.
The amendment is for the term of the agreement, which will now run from April 7th of 2020 through April 7th of 2025.
According to the recreation area’s Facebook page, it is the first Wyoming State Land recreational lease in the history of Wyoming.
The PLUC leases approximately 45 acres of state land for the use of off-road recreational vehicles, made possible through donations of money, machinery and personal time.
The 3 Poles Recreation Area is free to riders of all ages with proper supervision and is open seven days a week from dawn to dusk.
