Around 30 people and 8 vendors attended the first Clearmont Farmer’s Market held on Saturday organized by the Clearmont Community Center Foundation. Amy Rowe, treasurer of the group, had this to say about why they decided on the farmer’s Market.

Pulled pork sandwiches were furnished by the Center, and potluck sides were added to the meal. “I think the free meal helped to draw people in,” Rowe said with a laugh.
Vendor booths included salsa and cheesecake, Andrew’s Cheesecakes; handmade soap from Sheridan Soap Company; alpaca wool products from Sageridge Mill and Critters; antler art, crafts and plants from U-Milliron Farm and Garden; unique jewelry from Five Come Alive; wood art from Forrest, Wyoming; historic books from Clearmont Historic Group; and Allison’s Pantry and fabric arts by A&R Wyo Inspirations.
Beth Music, of Sheridan Soap Company, felt it had been a good day for her booth.
The Clearmont Historic Group displayed an acrylic painting of the Arches Area in Utah, donated by Richard Bohlmann, that will be raffled off on December 20th during the Historic Group meeting. Tickets are $10 each or 3 for $20, and proceeds go the Clearmont Historic Group.

Rowe said that in February the Community Center Foundation will discuss plans for Clearmont Day next year. She said it depends on how many people are interested in helping to organize the event.
She added that the Foundation will also hold it’s annual supper and auction this year on September 26, at 5:30, in the basement of the Community Center.
Last year the auction was virtual due to Covid-19, and she said they are looking forward to an in-person event this year. She said the group is not yet sure what will be on menu, and they are beginning to accept donations to the auction. Anyone interested in the upcoming supper and auction can call Amy Rowe at 307-752-5079.
