Aaron PalmerOrganizers for the Oktoberfest events coming in September brought requests before the Buffalo City Council for their approval at the recent recent meeting.
Claudia Todd, Janny (YAWN-ee) Breton, and Anke (AHN-kuh) Kottman, representing Buffalo Events LLC, were asking for street closures and designated open container areas for the events on Saturday, September 11th.
Todd said they are planning to offer vendors, music, entertainment and food at Crazy Woman Square during the day and then transfer the event to the area in front of Un’WINE’ed, across the creek for the remainder of the evening.
The council approved street closures on E. Fetterman from Main Street to Lobban Ave, from 6am to 7pm; and North Side Creek from Main to Lobban from 3pm to 10pm.
Open container areas were designated at Crazy Woman Square from 10am to 5pm; and on North Side Creek from 3pm to 10pm.
