Wyoming Congresswoman and House GOP Conference Chair Liz Cheney joined her colleagues recently at a media event to call on President Biden to secure our southern border, reverse their open-border policies, and make clear that the hundreds of thousands of migrants trying to illegally enter our country will not be able to do so.

Rep. Cheney

Representative Cheney said “when you are the President of the United States, when you are sitting in the White House, it’s not enough to express concern about the challenge, it’s not enough to ignore the challenge. It’s an abdication of your responsibility if you ignore the challenge.”

Congresswoman from Virginia with a peace offering for the “anti everybody but us” repubs. Back to the well of being very afraid of migrants. The repubs, instead of trying to actually do real work – try to rewrite or reform or come up with ways to address the desire of people to come into the country – they beat the drum of fear and promote anger so they can gain back power. She’s not really for fixing anything, just wants to stay in power. Can’t trust those repubs, but she is trying to make nice and join up again.

just more quibble squabble in DC…if the GOP is concerned about this problem then the GOP needs to come up with a viable solution and/or an agreement with the democrats to fix it…because if they don’t the voting majority will….well before the next 2022 elections…that’s what happens when an idiot like donald trump is at the helm…the voters react at the voting booth

It would be great to see Liz join with others to begin the impeachment of Biden and Harris. That would be great before further damage to our great Country is done. We just need a new election. Give the parties 6 months to choose a candidate and campaign and send registered American citizen voter to the polls where paper ballots will be waiting for them after they show their state issued IDs.

Sorry, liz, but I don’t believe a word you say. Just resign so WY can elect a conservative who has a majority of WYs interests at heart, and isn’t beholden to special interests like you are.

By supporting the impeachment of President Trump, you pretty much voted for this.

It sounds like a couple commenters don’t think people flooding across our borders is a problem. Even the undeniably liberal-biased Washington Post said there were 78,000 “arrests and detentions” along the Mexican border in Jan. Right now-according to CBS news this am, there are 3000+ illegal minors who have been detained “longer than 3 days”. Do this math over the next 12 (or 48 months) and extrapolate how many illegals crossing the border were NOT arrested or detained (which means they just let them go anyhow). Assuming 20% get caught-that is 312,000 per month. Assuming the current accepted number of illegals living in the US is the more conservative 11 million (some say closer to 20 million), this will double the amount of illegals in the US in just under 36 months. This is just simple math not political spin. No other country that with a functional government allows this. Not in my backyard? Yes-NOT in my back yard OR my country. Sometime you need to exercise tough-love and make people fix the issues they have created or allowed to occur. We can’t be the “go to” or the police for the world. That movie ends very badly for everyone.

And what native American tribe sponsored your ancestors when they came here? If you’re not Anasazi you’re an immigrant -get over it.

That argument really holds no water. Archeologists are uncovering evidence that shows even the Native Americans migrated to America. Back then the population was sparse and the migrants were not asking for support during a crisis. These people started their journey as soon as the election was over assuming the border would be open because that was what Biden was saying. All these people flooding over the border need fed, clothed and housed and that falls to the taxpayers who are already struggling to keep their own families fed clothed and housed Most people are not saying don’t let anyone in, they are saying that it needs to be controlled. Americans need to be able to get their own houses caught up on their bills first. Our government is printing us into a financial collapse as it is. Opening the border has just made human traffickers wealthy and created more victims. On Biden’s campaign website he stated that he would help other Countries fix their own issues so that people could remain in their own homes. What happened to that?

Nice to see that you know the difference between migration and immigration, but you should take a closer look at the archeological record. The European invasion of the Americas led to a genocide that far surpasses the Holocaust. The population was not sparse until we killed them off.
