Ron RichterThe City of Sheridan will be seeking federal dollars for Sheridan Fire Rescue. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The City will be applying for a federal grant for the purchase of a new fire apparatus for Sheridan Fire Rescue. A resolution was recently approved by the City Council that authorizes the submission of a Federal Mineral Royalty Capital Construction Account Grant (MRG) application to help fund the new apparatus. Sheridan Fire Chief Gary Harnish.
Harnish said that if the MRG grant application is approved, the City would then match the grant.
Harnish said that getting a quote for the new fire apparatus is in the process and that it’s estimated at $1.2 to 1.3 million.
