Ron RichterCity officials were presented details of a Department of Energy grant at Monday night’s Sheridan City Council study session. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The City of Sheridan is eligible for $75,670 from the Department of Energy to pursue projects that promote cost-saving energy efficiency. City Engineer Thomas Morneau said that it is a non-competitive grant.
Morneau said the grant application is due by October 31. A resolution authorizing the submission of an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant application to the U.S. Department of Energy will be considered by the City Council at their next regular business meeting.
