Aaron PalmerBuffalo’s City Council has approved a Mineral Royalty Grant application to the State Land and Investment Board for the Buffalo Wells Project.
During the council’s last meeting, Jeff Barron, with WWC Engineering, explained why the city was applying.
The council passed Resolution No. 1484, authorizing the application for the grant.
The council also considered another grant application on the project to the Wyoming Water Development Office, as explained by Barron.
Barron said the application is giving a second option to Wyoming Water Development at a 50% match for a reimbursement to the city of about $534,000 or a 33% match at about $116,000.
The council approved Resolution No. 1485, authorizing that application.
