Ron RichterU.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis received an award Wednesday for her voting record and work to rein in big government. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The Institute for Legislative Analysis presented Senator Lummis with the Defender of Limited Government Award for her score on its Limited Government Index. According to the scorecard, Lummis ranked in the top 10 senators who are defending limited government. Lummis said people in Wyoming believe in keeping the government out of their business and that she’s honored to receive the award for her votes defending the freedoms Wyoming citizens hold dear. Lummis added that she appreciates the Institute for Legislative Analysis for creating the legislative scorecard so that people can follow the work being done on their behalf in Washington.
The Limited Government Index includes 38,655 votes and 122 detailed policy analysis, making it one of the most comprehensive and in-depth federal scorecards. The full rankings can be found here.
