Ron RichterThe Wyoming Game and Fish Department will be hosting two “Living in Large Carnivore Country” workshops in Sheridan County in early March. G&F Sheridan Region Public Information Specialist Tina Schmidt says that Dustin Lasseter, G&F Bear Wise Coordinator and Large Carnivore Biologist out of Cody will lead the program.
Schmidt said that the two workshops in Sheridan County will be held on the same day, Saturday, March 7. The first one will take place at 9:30 am at the Story Branch Library. The second workshop will be at 1:30 pm in the Inner Circle of the Sheridan Fulmer Library.
Schmidt said that the workshops will primarily cover biology of mountain lions and bears, as well as information on how to prevent encounters, what to do in an encounter, and more. The workshops are free and are appropriate for all ages.
