Sheridan Commission Rescinds, Adds Fee Structures

Aaron PalmerSheridan County’s Commissioners, during their last meeting, voted to rescind the current IDOC fee strucures and implement a new fee structure for documents in the county clerk’s office.
County Clerk Eda Schunk Thompson explained the the county has been working since 2011 to replace the current system.
Thompson said the public has the option to not have a subscription and walk into the vault to find their needed records.
She explained that the old fees needed to be rescinded and the new fee schedules for subscriptions for online use needed to be updated.
The old fees were for view and print only, $25 per month or $275 annually; or full access for $150 per month or $1,650 annually.
The new fee schedule approved by the commission is a Daily Pass for $10; a Weekly Pass for $30; Monthly Pass for $120; and an Annual Pass for $1,200 all with unlimited prints.
