In his report to the hospital board of trustees at their meeting this week, CEO Luke Senden said August was a busy month with he and administration working on grant applications for their current construction project.

Senden said the ARPA grants totaled roughly $7.7 million, and the three newer grants were for $625,000; $500,000; and $200,000.

He said they are hopeful but don’t expect to be awarded all of the grant funding they are applying for.

The budget for Phase II of the current construction project was approved in July at $8.5 million, which includes a $150,000 contingency fund.

With that $8.5 million, the total cost of the project so far, including Phases 1A and 1B which are currently under construction, is roughly $15.9 million.
